Eco-design requirements for Energy-related Products (ErP)

The ErP Eco-Design Directive or Directive 2009/125/CE establish a framework in the EU for the setting of mandatory eco-design requirements for Energy-related Products – ErP. Within the ErP category are included those products that use directly the energy (e.g. motors, home appliances, boilers, etc.), and those products that have an indirect influence on energy consumption (e.g. plumbing, windows, etc.). This legislation does not apply to means of transport for persons or goods.
